What to Expect

When you contact us, we'll ask about your experience level, physical fitness, and what you hope to gain from the expedition. This helps us recommend the right program and set accurate expectations.

We provide detailed pre-trip information including equipment lists, physical preparation guidelines, and logistical details. Most questions are answered in these materials, but we're available for clarification.

Booking Process

Select an experience from our services page and complete the booking form. We'll respond with available dates and a detailed itinerary. A 30% deposit secures your spot; the balance is due 45 days before departure.

Cancellation policies vary by program. Mountain and coastal expeditions require longer notice due to permit requirements and small group sizes. Urban and cycling tours offer more flexibility.

Group Bookings

We can arrange private expeditions for groups of four to eight participants. These follow the same routes as our scheduled programs but allow for customized pacing and focus areas.

Private bookings require at least 90 days notice for wilderness programs and 30 days for urban tours. Pricing varies depending on group size and season.

Accessibility Considerations

Our wilderness programs involve challenging terrain and are not accessible to those with significant mobility limitations. However, our urban heritage walks can accommodate most accessibility needs with advance notice.

We're developing more inclusive programming. If you have specific requirements, contact us to discuss what might be possible.

Wilderness tourism involves inherent risks that vary by activity type, environmental conditions, and participant fitness. The information provided through basin-ibis is educational and does not replace professional medical advice or wilderness training. Participants should assess their own capabilities and consult healthcare providers before booking physically demanding programs.
